Film Delta is growing a production industry on America’s richest soil.

The U.S. film industry, which supports 2.5 million jobs, has been a powerful driver of economic renewal in many rural communities. Film Delta seeks to replicate this, leveraging film and television production for economic and cultural revitalization.

Film Delta produces feature films and episodic content set in the Delta for worldwide audiences.

Goal: Scale to film about 100 days of production, per year.
On each production, Film Delta trains local Delta residents to begin new careers in the film industry alongside our non-profit and community college workforce development partners.
As a bonus, we intend to film a docu-series that follows the transformational experience of these students, which can increase the marketing value of the productions by giving each an authentic and important ‘product story.’

Goal: Scale to train 30 film professionals per year, bolstering the crew base throughout the region.
Film Delta leverages its productions and trained crews to develop the ecosystem of economic assets necessary for a local production industry to thrive.

Goal: Establish an ecosystem of companies to support Delta productions, such as G&E rental, sound stages, transportation, security and more.
Hire alumni as well as recruit seasoned film professionals for full-time positions, in order to support our production ecosystem in the Delta.
Goal: Scale to employ 30-50 Delta Residents full time. Support 750 jobs directly and indirectly in companion industries.
Film Delta captivates audiences with “authentic cinema from the birthplace of soul” that showcase the compelling culture and landscapes of the Delta region, in all of its variety.
By engaging audiences and film professionals with our productions, Film Delta seeks to increase cultural interest and financial investment throughout the Delta, as well as attract producers who currently film in Georgia, Louisiana and Alabama to choose the Delta region.

Film Delta is currently seeking a studio distribution partnership, as our unique productions and workforce model would accomplish the environmental, sustainability and governance goals of most major distributors, as well as their associated foundations.
